22 March, 2012 at the Dept. of Foreign Language the All-Ukrainian science-to-practice video-conference was held «Моnitoring of the quality of foreign languages training on basis of non-linguistical education institutes».
Language of the Conference – English, several abstracts were made in Ukrainian, Russian and German. Video-conference was held in cooperation with the foreign Languages departments both the National University of Pharmacy and Lviv National medical University.
The Vice rector for scientific works, prof. Kovalenko Sergey N. Made a welcoming speech in English towards the participants of the conference. In his speech the Vice rector made an impact on the meaning of English language or modern science, educative work and higher education in total.
Assistant Rector for academic affairs, assoc. prof. Vinnik L.M. presented achievements of the National University of Pharmacy in the field of learning English language and skills improvement for teaching staff of the University, which let them to teach specialized disciplines to foreign students in English of advanced level. The positive tendency of increasing number of students, lecturers and employees of the University who would like to learn English for communication was observed. Thus, administrative Board of the University pays deep attention to this matter and NUPh is one of the first universities where the training English have been introduced in order to implement the target that were set by the Ministry of Education , Science, Youth and Sport of Ukraine.
On behalf of theLvivNationalMedicalUniversityacted with congratulations Head of Foreign Languages Department assoc. prof. Yelena S. Vanivskaya, who accepted an invitation from the National University of Pharmacy to hold a video conference and discuss actual and important issues of learning/teaching foreign language at non-linguistic institutes.
Very lively and interesting conversation took place – discussion of borth, Kharkiv and Lviv Foreign Languages Departments on the point of more qualitative and effective learning/teaching foreign languages in today’s time. The most important and key issues concerning usage of up-to-date audiovisual equipment, test control, monitoring of independent work of students and others were considered.
Materials of the All-Ukrainian science-to-practice video conference have been presented in a printed book «Quality monitoring of the teaching foreign languages at non-linguistic institutes» by NUPh Publishing House (Kharkov) before the conference took place.
