The State Fund for Fundamental Research (SFFR) announces F86 competition for grants from the President of Ukraine to support research of young scientists in 2020

Requirements for candidates: candidates of sciences under the age of 30, doctoral students under the age of 33, doctors of sciences under the age of 35 years

Requirements for projects: projects on fundamental and applied scientific research, capable of making a significant contribution to the expansion and deepening of scientific knowledge, distinguished by novelty in the formulation and methods of research that have a significant scientific and practical significance.

Grant amount: 60 – 90 thousand UAH

Competitive selection of projects for state grants of the Ministry of Economic Development of Ukraine

Description: This is a pilot project of the state support for innovation and invention, which was initiated by the Ministry of Economic Development together with the State Innovation and Credit Institution. The project will help inventors to realize their inventions, developments, useful models, not only on the paper, but to introduce them into production. Evaluation of projects will be held according to a number of indicators, such as “novelty”, “degree of readiness for commercial introduction”, “social or market expediency”, “presence of authorship documents”, “term of implementation” and other indicators.

Competition of Ukrainian-German research projects for 2019-2020

Organizers: Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and Federal Ministry of Education and Research of the Federal Republic of Germany.

Invited to participate: scientists of institutions of higher education, research institutions and enterprises; research groups of institutions of higher education, research institutions and enterprises of both countries.

Priority areas: biotechnology; technologies of efficient use of resources and energy, environmentally friendly technologies; scientific research in the field of health care and medical technologies; information and communication technologies; new materials and production technologies; project proposals on the priorities of the EU Framework Program for Research and Innovation “Horizon 2020” and other specialized programs of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research of the Federal Republic of Germany.

The Bath Short Story Award

Rules: Stories can be on any theme or subject but must be original and written in English; Maximum length is 2,200 words; Entries must not have been previously published in print or online, been broadcast or won a prize (published online includes publication on your personal blog); Entries will be read and judged anonymously so do not put your name on the pages of your story; etc.

Prize amount: 1st – £1200; 2nd – £300; 3rd – £100
