From 11th to 18th of March futsal tournament among foreign students of 1, 2 courses is held in the NUPh sports complex (4 Blukhera Str.)

Teams that took 1-2 places in the subgroup enter the semi-finals.

On March 11 – 18 Department of Health and Physical Training of the National University of Pharmacy conducted a futsal tournament among 1st and 2nd course foreign students. Such competitions are held at the university for the first time.

11-18.-3.2013 турнир по футзалу 2To participate volunteered 6 teams – teams from different countries, students who study at the NUPh. During the week matches were played in two subgroups, and on March 18 winners – team Iraq-I and team Morocco – have met in the final match.

Futsal tournament organizers did not take for granted such a great interest. Now, after a successful debut, already having the first experience, they are going to make this tournament traditional, besides, with participation of students of all courses.

On March 18, in the hall of the NUPh sports complex raged hot passions. Compatriots from all courses and faculties came to support their athletes. Armed with fipple pipes and drums, fans all-out cheered the countrymen and tried to help them capture the excitement natural during such a responsible game. By the way, of all others the fans impressed the organizers: so tactfully, tolerant and with great respect the fans of different teams treated each other during the final match.

– This tournament was generally full of pleasant surprises, – says associate professor of the NUPh Department of Health and Physical Training Stanislava Vladimirovna Korolinskya. – Firstly, the players surprised with their high level of physical training. Secondly, excitement around the event was pretty joyful: senior students were almost indignant because only juniors were playing. Thirdly, a great fun for everyone brought the final tournament. Both teams were strong and the players did their best to win. However, this is exactly the case when the last word rested with luck.

11-18.-3.2013 турнир по футзалу 12The regular time of final match ended with the score 2:2. The fate of team Iraq-I and team Morocco defined penalty shootout. As a result, the team Iraq-I won, the second place took team Morocco, and the third place took team Iraq II. The Cup and certificates were awarded by Dean of foreign citizens’ training Faculty Vladimir Dmitrievich Goryachiy. In addition, during the tournament were identified the best players. Thus, the top scorer is Marvan Faysal Rustum (English language, 2nd course, group 10), the best goalkeeper is Hamid Abdulelaha Al-Alvani (English language, 2nd course, group 14), and the best defender – Elvina Khankaramli (CIS department, 1st course, group 8). Congratulations to the winners!
