Curriculum Vitae. Lina Yu. Klimenko was born on 17th December 1980 in Kharkiv. In 1997 she finished Kharkiv Multidisciplinary Lyceum №89 with a gold medal. In 2002 she graduated from the National Ukrainian Academy of Pharmacy with honours, speciality «Pharmacy», defending her degree work on the topic «Development and research of tramadolselective electrode». In 2003 she received an educational and qualifying degree of Master of Pharmacy in the speciality «General Pharmacy», she defended her master’s thesis on the topic «Development of bromhexineselective electrode» (Analytical Chemistry Department).

In 2003 she continued her education as a full-time postgraduate student in the National University of Pharmacy (15.00.02 – pharmaceutical chemistry and pharmacognosy) and finished in 2006. In 2007 she defended her thesis for a PhD degree in Pharmacy on the topic «Chemical and toxicological research of zopiclone» (scientific supervisor – Doctor of Science in Chemistry, Professor Valeriy V. Bolotov). In 2016 she defended her thesis for a Doctor degree in Pharmacy on the topic «The integrated approach to development and validation of the procedures of analytes quantification in biological fluids for chemical and toxicological analysis» (15.00.02 – pharmaceutical chemistry and pharmacognosy, scientific adviser – Doctor of Science in Pharmacy, Professor Gennadiy P. Petyunin).

From 2002 to 2003 she worked in the UEPH «CRA №63» (Kupyansk), firstly as a pharmacist-intern and then as a pharmacist of general specialization. Since 2003 she works at the Analytical Chemistry Department of the National University of Pharmacy – as an assistant (2003 – 2004, 2007 – 2010), laboratory assistant (2006 – 2007), associate professor (since 2010). Academic degree of Associate Professor was received in 2012.

International activities. Speaker at the 39th Symposium «Chromatographic methods of investigating the organic compounds» (2nd June 2016, Katowice, Poland). Research internship at Institute of Chemistry (University of Silesia) / «SHIMADZU» on the topic «Design of drug metabolism and analysis of metabolites by the method of ultra-high performance liquid chromatography with mass-spectrometric detection» (29th May – 5th June 2016).

Scientific activity. The main fields of scientific research are:

  • chemical and toxicological researches of biologically active compounds and medicines;
  • development of approaches to bioanalytical methods validation;
  • development of tandem procedures for medicines determination using optical methods of analysis.

She is the author of over 200 papers, including 11 manuals (5 manuals are recommended by Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, 7 manuals are in English), 11 scientific guidelines of Ministry of Public Health of Ukraine, 14 patents, 60 research articles, over 100 conference proceedings.

Scientific activity. The main fields of scientific research are:

  • chemical and toxicological researches of biologically active compounds and medicines;
  • development of approaches to bioanalytical methods validation;
  • development of tandem procedures for medicines determination using optical methods of analysis.
