May 5, 2014, visit of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Ukraine Abdualiiev Alisher Khabibullaievych to the NUPh

Ukraine and Uzbekistan are united by long-term friendly contacts that are built on mutual respect and cover all the areas of cooperation. Today, one of the most fast growing directions of partnership is education. Uzbekistan needs highly skilled professionals, and that is why every year more and more students from the Republic of Uzbekistan enter the Ukrainian universities. At present, 2477 students from Uzbekistan study at 97 universities in Ukraine, including – 608 in Kharkiv. 250 students from Uzbekistan study at the National University of Pharmacy – the key sectoral HEI.

  Government has instructed the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Ukraine Abdualiiev Alisher Khabibullaievych to meet with citizens of Uzbekistan – students of the Ukrainian universities, to see the conditions in which they study and live, to determine the matters of their concern.

On May 5, 2014, after the meeting with students of Kharkiv National Medical University, Mr. Abdualiiev visited the National University of Pharmacy. Odylbekov Nozimbek Ortykbek Ugly, employee of the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Ukraine and Yurii Ivanovich Fisun, head of the Center for International Programs of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine came to the NUPh together with Mr. Ambassador.

Mr. Abdualiiev proposed the students’ audience to watch three videotapes about Uzbekistan to remind his compatriots of their homeland. Then the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Ukraine told the students that he met with the Rector of the University, examined the University facilities, visited the academic buildings. Mr. Ambassador said that he was impressed with the excellent conditions created in the NUPh, and high potential of the University staff, where 94% of teachers have a degree. A.Kh. Abdualiiev expressed his gratitude to the University staff for the attention to foreign students, for the efforts exerted by them in preparation of highly qualified specialists for the pharmaceutical industry of Uzbekistan. “Dear students, you should be proud that are studying in these conditions,” – said Mr. Abdualiiev.

On the request of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine to the HEI concerning the organization of early examinations for the foreign students due to the unstable situation in our country, the NUPh students finish this academic year earlier. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan told his compatriots about the organized departure for summer holidays and advised them to return in September to study at the National University of Pharmacy – an elite HEI, which is a pride of all the industrial community.
