On November 6, 2017, a press conference devoted to the ІІ International USERN Congress, which will be held in Kharkiv on November 8-10, was held at the SQ press hall.

Rector of the KhNMU V.M. Lisovyi, Rector of the NTU “KhPI” Ye.I. Sokol, acting Rector of the NUPh A.A. Kotvitska, Head of the Council of Young Scientists of Kharkiv Region State N. Koufterina.

The Congress will cover 5 major scientific areas – medical, social, formal, biochemical and physical sciences. About 200 leading scientists from the USA, Canada, Germany, Italy, Great Britain, Slovenia, and Iran were invited to participate in the scientific discussions.

In addition to the opportunity to discuss scientific questions and future joint research projects, share experiences within discussion platforms, the Congress will serve as a starting point for young scientists who took part in the competition for scientific projects. Five prospective young scientists-winners will receive a cash reward of $ 5,000. In addition to the main winners, the first ten young scientists will be encouraged by travel grants for weekly internships in the leading educational and research institutions of the world.

The following Kharkiv universities were chosen as the Congress participants and locations: V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute”, National University of Pharmacy, Kharkiv National Medical University.

The Congress will begin its work on November 8. The next day, scientists will work in four locations at the same time. The main international speakers whose reports will be read at the National University of Pharmacy are: Markus Fischer, Director of the Institute of Food Chemistry at the University of Hamburg (Germany) and Valentina Cauda, ​​Associate Professor of the Department of Applied Science and Technology at the Turin Polytechnic Institute (Italy). Moderator of the NUPh location – Professor A.L. Zagaiko.
