On March 26, 2015, the XIIIth Interuniversity scientific and practical conference of foreign students of preparatory faculties and departments of Ukraine “The Way to Science: first steps” took place in the NUPh

Students from 28 countries who study at the preparatory faculties and departments of the 7 leading universities of Kharkiv – National University of Pharmacy, V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, Kharkiv National Medical University, Kharkiv National University of Radioelectronics, National Technical University “KhPI”, Kharkiv State Academy of Physical Culture, Kharkiv State University of Food Technology and Trade, Kharkov State Zooveterinary Academy – participated in the conference.

The conference was attended by students who have only recently arrived from their countries and study at the Preparatory Departments for foreign citizens, study Russian and try themselves test their strength in science.

There were presented the following reports :

“Machu Picchu – the city of ancient Incas”, Jasmine Viliaverde (Peru), V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University;

“Moulds – one of the most ancient organisms on Earth”, El Kamhi Mohammed Amin, Bumanza Iman (Morocco), NUPh;

“Peculiarities of the culinary culture of modern Egypt”, Ali Taha (Egypt), KhSUFTT;

“Moral peaks. About Memory”, Hanie Aamiar (Morocco), NUPh;

“Important scientific discoveries of the XXI century”, Laval Usman (Nigeria), NTU “KhPI”;

«History and etymology of the term “fraction”», Ammar Moussannif (Morocco), KhUNR;

“What kinds of liquids do exist ?” Alouatik Lina (Morocco), NUPh;

“Power and Money of Jordan”, Alravashdeh Maryam Ali Falah (Jordan) KhNMU;

“Kharkiv familiar and unfamiliar. (Kharkiv through the eyes of Jordanian student)”, Nour Mohammad (Jordan), Kharkiv State Academy of Physical Culture.

The NUPh student Alouatik Lina (Morocco) demonstrated visual experiment with mixing liquids during the report (with the help of assistant). Student of the NTU “KhPI” Laval Usman (Nigeria), speaking about the outstanding discoveries of the XXI century, wished all participants of the conference become a Nobel Prize Winners.

Each speaker received a book of abstracts and participation certificate.

Musical numbers of students of the Faculty for Foreign Citizens’ Education of the NUPh became a pleasant surprise for the guests and participants.
