On September 1, 2013 city-wide celebration of initiation into students was held at the Liberty Square

The first-year students were greeted with the Day of Knowledge and gaining of a new status – status of a student – greeted the Minister of Revenue and Duties of Ukraine A..V Klimenko, head of Kharkiv Regional State Administration M.M. Dobkin, head of the Kharkiv regional council S.I. Chernov, Kharkov mayor G.A. Kernes. Guests of honor lighted the symbolic torch of knowledge and left their wishes for matriculated students in the “Annals of Kharkiv students”, in which is the third year in a row are written the names of all first-year students of Kharkov.

1.09.2013 парад вузов 4The parade of Kharkiv universities was held as part of a citywide celebration of the initiation into students. The Square was crossed by columns of students and teachers of universities, academies, institutes of Kharkiv. Then there was held a concert.

National University of Pharmacy traditionally takes part in a citywide celebration. In the NUPh column marched the full Academic Council – professors, associate professors, heads of structural subdivisions, led by the Rector of the National University of Pharmacy, Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Doctor of Pharmaceutical Sciences, corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Honored Scientist of Ukraine, honored inventor of Ukraine, laureate of the state Prize of Ukraine, full Knight of the Order “For Merit”, Knight of the Order of Prince Yaroslav the Wise of the IV-V degrees, honorary citizen of Kharkiv, professor V.P. Chernykh. Numerous multinational student community of the NUPh was represented at the parade by excellent students, best athletes, active participants of the social life of the university, artists of the NUPh Cultural Center.

As of September 1, 2013 at the National University of Pharmacy are studying representatives of 23 countries. Students of the NUPh Foreign Citizens’ Training Faculty in national costumes carried flags of their countries.
