Procedure of Apostille affixation and legalization of educational documents
For admission to the training of persons who submit document on the educational degree (level) obtained abroad, it is a mandatory to conduct procedure of NOSTRIFICATION.
– recognition and establishing the equivalence of documents for educational and / or educational and qualification level by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine in accordance with the Procedure for recognition and establishing the equivalence in Ukraine of educational documents issued by institutions other countries, approved by the Ministry of Education and Science, Youth and Sports of Ukraine issued on May 28, 2012 № 632, registered in the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine on June 14, 2012, № 960/21272. Recognition and establishing the equivalence of these documents shall be made within the first year of training.
APOSTILLE – procedure of recognition of the legal validity of foreign documents. Unlike consular legalization, an Apostille affixation takes less time and documents with an Apostille can be used in different countries (not only in one country). If you go to another country to study, work or for permanent residence, you may need educational documents that you received in Ukraine. In order for your documents to be valid abroad, they should go through consular legalization or Apostille affixation process if there is no agreement on abolition or simplification of the procedure of legalization between our countries.
In Ukraine, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine is authorized to affix an Apostille to official documents relating to education and science.
LEGALIZATION – procedure of verification of validity of higher education documents issued by Ukrainian higher education institutions to foreign citizens. Legalization is carried out by employees of the Dean’s Office of the Faculty for Foreign Citizens’ Education (53 Pushkinska str., 2nd floor, room 211) at the Center for International Programs of the Ministry of Public Health of Ukraine.
