A celebration was held on 20 May 2021 to mark the 15th anniversary of the World Vyshyvanka Day.

Vyshyvanka Day is a celebration of national unity and the preservation of national cultural traditions. The National University of Pharmacy community joined the celebration of the fifteenth anniversary of the World Vyshyvanka Day and held a flash mob ‘Vyshyvanka as a Spiritual Heritage’.

Representatives from the rector’s office, deans’ offices, heads of departments, academic staff, higher education applicants and creative groups from the cultural centre attended the celebration.

The Museum of History of NUPh hosted an exhibition of embroideries from different regions of Ukraine. Everyone had the opportunity to take part in master classes from talented embroidery masters and learn different techniques.

The NUPh Scientific Library opened the book exhibition “Vyshyvanka unites Ukrainians”, which was visited by both higher education applicants and research and teaching staff, while the creative teams of the cultural centre congratulated those present with a festive concert.

Ukrainian Vyshivanka is an ethnic brand proven by history, a real cultural code, preserving the traditions of our ancestors.

We wish that Vyshyvanka Day unites Ukrainians all over the world, and that the wisdom and power of a thousand-year-old tradition inspire them!

Keep the traditions! Love Ukraine!
