On 10 June 2021, NUPh hosted the sports event “Formula for Success”, which included the finals of the Rector’s Cup mini-football competition

The National University of Pharmacy has launched the “Success Stories” project at the initiative of Rector Alla Kotvitska. These are meetings with outstanding, interesting, extraordinary people who motivate to create their own trajectory of success. And for the first time, on 10 June 2021, the NUPh community met four-time Everest climber Valentyn Sypavin during the ‘Formula for Success’ sports event.

The final match of the mini-football competition for the Rector’s Cup also took place on the football field of the Health, Sports and Recreation Center.

10 university teams from all faculties took part in this year’s tournament, including students from the Preparatory Department of the Faculty  for Foreign Citizens’ Education.

According to the results of the competition, the prizes were won by:

  • 1st place – the team “Yunist”,
  • 2nd place – the team “Staika”,
  • 3rd place – the team “Morocco”.

Layash Abderrahman, a third-year student of the Faculty of Foreign Citizens’ Education, won the Best Player nomination; in the nomination “Best Goalkeeper” – Slobodenyuk Mykhailo, student of the Faculty of Medical and Pharmaceutical Technologies, 1st year.

Rector Alla Kotvitska congratulated the NUPh team at the awarding ceremony of the football tournament for their first place in the All-Ukrainian Futsal Competition dedicated to the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. The awards were given to Uzavit Ayub, a 4th year student of the Faculty of Foreign Citizens’ Education, who was recognized as the best player of the tournament, and Lilia Ocheredko, a sports coach who was recognized as the best coach of the tournament.

The sporting event was attended by Alla Kotvitska, rector of NUPh, Andriy Fedosov, Chief Vice-Rector on educational work, faculty deans, heads of departments, academic staff, University staff and higher education applicants.

An interesting and informative celebration was organised by the staff of the cultural centre, the educational work service, and the Department of Physical Rehabilitation and Health. The participants were welcomed by the cheerleading team, the “Paradis” pop dance group and the “Gerdan” folk song band.
