UDC 615.011:547.857.4 PHARMACOLOGICAL SCREENING OF 3-SUCCINYLSUBSTITUTED N-PHENYLANTHRANILIC ACIDS М.М.Suleyman, S.G.Isaev, А.M.Semenov, T.S.Sakharova, M.V.Zupanets

In the process of pharmacological screening of 3-succinylsubstituted N-phenylanthranilic acids it has been found that these compounds show a high anti-inflammatory, analgetic, diuretic, fungistatic and bacteriostatic activity. The parameters of acute toxicity have been defined for the most active derivatives, it gave an opportunity to classify them as low-toxic substances during the intragastric injection (LD50>7000 mg/kg). It has been shown that the introduction of succinic acid fragment into the structure of N-phenylanthranilic acids leads to decreasing of acute toxicity and to increasing of anti-inflammatory, analgetic, diuretic effects. Two most prospective substances (codes V and VI) have been chosen among 3-succinylsubstituted N-phenylanthranilic acids; they significantly exceed the activity of reference medicines in their anti-inflammatory, analgetic, diuretic activity and the therapeutic index value.

Key words:3-succinylsubstituted N-phenylanthranilic acids, acute toxicity, pharmacological activity.
