UDC 615.0;7547.057 THE PHARMACOKINETIC PROFILE AND METABOLISM OF 14C-ETHOXOZEPAM IN MICE AFTER INTRAVENOUS ADMINISTRATION N.O.Zhukova, M.Ya.Golovenko, V.B.Larionov

The work is dedicated to the study of peculiarities of 14C-ethoxozepam pharmacokinetics and metabolism in mice after intravenous administration. 14С-ethoxozepam readily distributes in the organs and tissues, in a high concentrations it is determined in the adipose tissue and penetrates the BBB. There are the high concentrations of the initial compound in organs, while the hydrophilic metabolites are easily excreted form the body. The total biotransformation degree is from 50 to 70 %. The distribution kinetics of ethoxozepam is described by the one-compartment model with low elimination parameters values (for the brain kel = 0.063±0.002 h-1, and for the liver kel = 0.036±0.001 h-1) and the high mean residence time (MRT for the blood and brain are 17.9±1.4 hours and 16.3±1.2 hours, respectively).
