UDC 615.272.1:615.451.1:616-001.41 EVALUATION OF THE «PROLІDOXYD» OINTMENT EFFECTIVENESS ON MECHANICAL DAMAGE OF THE SKIN IN RATS O.V.Tkachova, L.V.Yakovleva

On the forced stencil wound model in rats the effectiveness of a new combined wound healing ointment «Prolіdoxyd» containing phenolic hydrophobic propolis medicine and lidocaine has been studied. The reparative ointment of the natural origin «Wundahyl», which is used in medical practice for the local treatment of wounds, was used as a reference medicine. According to the results of plane geometry the reduction of healing with «Prolіdoxyd» is 4 days lees compared with the positive control group and 2 days less compared with «Wundahyl» ointment. According to dynamics of biochemical and hematological parameters «Prolіdoxyd» ointment has revealed the more expressed wound-healing action than «Wundahyl» ointment. The more pronounced reparative and anti-inflammatory activity of «Prolіdoxyd» ointment is due to the antioxidant and membrane-stabilizing effect of polyphenols of phenolic hydrophobic propolis medicine and the osmotic activity of the hydrophilic base of the ointment in contrast to h the ydrophobic fat base of the reference medicine.
