UDC 615.451.1.015: 616 — 001.12 THE STUDY OF “BIOFLORIN” OINTMENT EFFECTIVENESS ON THE MODEL OF THE BURN INJURY IN RATS L.V.Yakovleva, O.V.Tkachova, O.M.Gorban

On the model of burn trauma of degree II in rats the effectiveness of “Bioflorin” ointment containing a thick oak bark extract and the essential oil of coriander has been studied. The known reparative ointment of the natural origin “Algofin” used in medical practice for the local treatment of skin burns at the II and III phases of the wound process was a referrence medicine. By the results of plane geometry the new ointment “Bioflorin” contributed to the reduction of terms of healing — 4 days earlier compared with a group of the positive control and 3 days earlier compared with “Algofin” ointment. By dynamics of biochemical and hematological parameters it has been found that the new combined ointment has shown the medical effect, which exceeded the effectiveness of “Algofin” ointment by its reparative and anti-inflammatory activity. The results obtained allow to predict such advantages of “Bioflorin” ointment in the conditions of clinical practice for the local treatment of the wound process at the II and III phases.
