With the support of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, on the basis of the State Enterprise State Expert Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, on April 10, 2025, the 1st All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference PHARMACEUTICAL EDUCATION IN UKRAINE: MODERN CONFIGURATION was held in Kyiv.
The initiator of the introduction of the new annual all-Ukrainian event was the National University of Pharmacy. Information support for the event was provided by thePharmaMedia publication.
The purpose of the Conference is to conduct a scientific and practical discussion on problematic issues and prospects for the development of pharmaceutical education in Ukraine.
The format of the event, as a discussion platform, became favourable for effective communication of stakeholders. The event attracted the attention of society: a wide range of the pharmaceutical community, educators and scientists of higher, pre-university and postgraduate education institutions that provide training for specialists with pharmaceutical education, industry employers, self-governing organizations. Representatives of government bodies and public professional associations; practical pharmacy and the pharmacy sector, self-governing organizations joined the Conference.
The Conference was opened with greetings from Serhiy KUZMINYKH, Chairman of the Subcommittee on Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Activities of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Health, Medical Care and Medical Insurance, and Serhiy UBOGOV, Head of the Department of Medical Personnel, Education and Science of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
The Conference was held in the format of a panel discussion in two blocks.
The speakers of block 1 ‘Development trends, features of organizational and legal support of pharmaceutical education in Ukraine’ were: Alla KOTVITSKA, acting rector of the NUPh, with a report Pharmaceutical education in Ukraine: modern configuration; Roman ISAENKO, head of the State Service of Ukraine for Medicines and Drug Control, with a report The role of the State Service in the educational process; speakers – Serhiy UBOGOV, head of the Department of Medical Personnel, Education and Science of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, Mykhailo PASICHNYK, deputy director of the State Enterprise State Expert Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, Lesya OLIYNIK, general director of the State Enterprise Testing Center under the Ministry of Health of Ukraine; Oleksandr SHMATENKO, head of the Department of Military Pharmacy of the Ukrainian Military Medical Academy.
Block 2 ‘Current state of personnel support in pharmacy. Current issues of assigning professional qualifications. The role of public organizations in the training of pharmaceutical personnel’ was opened with a welcoming speech by Dmytro LYAKH, Deputy Head of the National Qualifications Agency, who joined the Conference online. The following speakers delivered their reports: Inna OSADCHUK, Member of the National Qualifications Agency, with a report Assignment of Professional Qualifications by Higher Education Institutions: Opportunities and Challenges (online); Yuriy VDOVYCHENKO, Head of the Sectoral Council for the Development of Professional Standards in the Healthcare Sector, with a report Formation of the National Qualifications System and the Development of Professional Standards in the Healthcare Sector; Valentyna YOVENKO, Head of Corporate Communications of the Pharmacy Network APTEKA 9-1-1, with a report UPTEKA: DEVELOPMENT ACADEMY 9-1-1 Corporate Program for Employee Development; Vitalia KRASULIA, Senior Specialist of the Selection and Adaptation Department of JSC Farmak, with a report Farmak PRO Future: with Students and for Students; Iryna SUVOROVA, Director of the Public Organization Pharmacy Professional Association of Ukraine” with a report Pharmaceutical Education and Practical Training: A Step to Quality Pharmaceutical Care. The speakers were also joined by Larysa PROSYANIK, Chairman of the Board of the NGO Vinnytsia Regional Association of Pharmacists CUM DEO”
In total, almost 50 participants joined the Conference live and over 200 people online. The All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference PHARMACEUTICAL EDUCATION IN UKRAINE: MODERN CONFIGURATION became a significant pharmaceutical event of the year for proactive stakeholders, professionals of the pharmaceutical sector of the healthcare system.
A unique opportunity was realized to hear analytical reviews from experts and discuss the configuration of pharmaceutical education in Ukraine, the latest trends and prospects for its development.
