On April 18, 2025, the National University of Pharmacy held an Olympiad in biotechnology, organized by the Department of Biotechnology.
The Olympiad covered questions from such educational components as General Microbiology and Virology, General Biotechnology, and Fundamentals of Genetic and Bioengineering.
A feature of this year’s Olympiad was the presence of applied complex tasks aimed at solving real production problems of biotechnology enterprises. Applicants had the opportunity to try themselves as specialists in research teams. We are sincerely glad that this year the participants of the Olympiad were applicants not only from the speciality of Biotechnology and Bioengineering, but also from other specialities of the University. This multidisciplinary approach allows future specialists to take a broader look at the tasks of biotechnology in pharmacy, rehabilitation and related industries. The acquired skills of interdisciplinary cooperation will help applicants in their future professional activities, in particular in the field of developing innovative medicines, new biomaterials and rehabilitation technologies.
The award ceremony of the winners will take place on April 23, 2025 during the opening of the XXXI International Scientific and Practical Conference of Young Scientists and Students ‘Current Issues of New Medicines Development’. The award ceremony will be held with the participation of our partner and sponsor of the Olympiad – the ISPE Ukraine association.
