A specialized academic council D.64.605.01 has been established and is operating at the National University of Pharmacy for the defence of dissertations for the degree of Doctor of Pharmaceutical Sciences in the specialities 15.00.01 – drug technology, organization of pharmaceutical business and forensic pharmacy and 15.00.02 – pharmaceutical chemistry and pharmacognosy, approved by the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine dated 27.04.2023 No. 491. The head of the specialized academic council is Dr. Pharm. Sci., Prof. Alla KOTVITSKA, deputy head is Dr. Pharm. Sci., Prof. Olena RUBAN, scientific secretary is Dr. Pharm. Sci., Prof. Viktoriya GEORGIYANTS.
On May 2, at the first meeting of the specialized academic council D.64.605.01 of the current year, the defence of the dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Oleksandr Shmalko, Candidate of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Associate Professor (Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University) took place.
The dissertation on the topic ‘Theoretical and experimental substantiation of pharmaceutical development of drugs for complex therapy of chronic nonspecific ulcerative colitis’ was performed at the National University of Pharmacy. The official opponents were: Dr. Pharmaceutical Sciences, Prof. Anna DROZDOVA (P. L. Shupyk National University of Health Care of Ukraine), Dr. Pharmaceutical Sciences, Prof. Svitlana BILOUS (Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University), Dr. Pharmaceutical Sciences, Prof. Zhanna POLOVA (O. O. Bogomolets National Medical University).
Based on the results of the consideration of Oleksandr SHMALKO’s scientific research, the specialized academic council D.64.605.01 made a decision to award the scientific degree of Doctor of Pharmaceutical Sciences and awarded Oleksandr SHMALKO the scientific degree of Doctor of Pharmaceutical Sciences in the speciality 15.00.01 – drug technology, organization of pharmaceutical business and forensic pharmacy.
