Ecological Club “Sailing” at the beginning of 2013 developed an environmental program “Let us preserve the nature of Ukraine” – a series of activities to promote attitude of care towards nature

For students of the NUPh the program scheduled seminars on rare for Ukraine species of birds and animals, and cooperation with the National Natural Park “Gomolshanskie Forest” in the form of organization of joint environmental group for counting nesting in the park, trips to Biosphere Reserve “Askania Nova”, volunteer assistance of “The Center for the Treatment of animals” in Kharkov, volunteer raid to Kharkov zoo. 

On 12.03.2013 under this program, the NUPh College hosted seminar for students on “Owls of Kharkiv region – the Red Book birds of Ukraine. Let us save them”. The seminar was given by           employee of NNP “Gomolshanskie Forest,” ornithologist Egor Aleksandrovich Yatsyuk. The seminar had a positive feedback from students and, according to unofficial data, aroused interest in issues and conservation techniques of owls of Kharkiv region and Ukraine in general
