On April 29, 2025, Roman Lesyk, Head of the National Contact Point of the EU Horizon Europe Programme for the Health Action Area, held a lecture / master class for scientists of the National University of Pharmacy.
Roman Bogdanovych is Head of the Center for Molecular Design, Research of Medicinal Products and Biologically Active Compounds, Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical, Organic and Bioorganic Chemistry of the Danylo Halytskyi Lviv National Medical University. One of the 2% of the most cited scientists in the world, according to 2021 data in Scopus, Doctor Honoris Causa of the Karol Marcinkowski Poznań Medical University, laureate of the State Prize of Ukraine in the field of science and technology. He teaches at universities in Ukraine and Poland, and he is a member of the editorial boards of several scientific journals in the Republic of Poland, Austria and the USA. Authored of over half a thousand scientific and educational and methodological works, including 30 patents of Ukraine, a monograph and a textbook, he is also an Honorary Ambassador of Lviv.
During the meeting, topical issues of formation and finding one’s own scientific path were discussed, as well as opportunities and tools of international cooperation that can be useful, the features of writing grant applications and practical advice to young scientists during their training. Special attention was paid to scientometric indicators of scientists and the preparation of scientific articles for publication in peer-reviewed publications indexed by international scientometric databases.
