On April 7-11, 2025, teachers and students of the National University of Pharmacy took part in the Erasmus+ academic mobility program (Republic of Lithuania, Kaunas)

Our university continues to actively develop international cooperation and strengthen scientific contacts with European universities. From April 7 to 11, 2025, within the framework of the Erasmus+ academic mobility program and the agreement on scientific cooperation between the National University of Pharmacy and the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences, teachers and students of the University took part in an academic and scientific internship at the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences.

Representatives of the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry Viktoriya GEORGIYANTS, Doctor of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Professor, and Olga MYKHAYLENKO, Doctor of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Associate Professor, within the framework of the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility program, implemented a set of activities aimed at developing a strategy for joint research and prospects for joint development of educational components by the National University of Pharmacy and the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences, delivered scheduled lectures, conducted scientific experiments on pharmaceutical and phytochemical analysis, participated in an analytical training on the analysis of plant raw materials and herbal preparations, and also discussed the prospects for further cooperation.

An important aspect of academic mobility was the participation of the NUPh student youth in the international scientific space. Amira AVAD, a 2nd-year student, and Tetiana MATUS, a 5th-year student, completed a scientific internship at the Department of Analytical and Toxicological Chemistry of the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences. During the internship, students deepened their knowledge in the field of pharmaceutical research, mastered modern laboratory techniques, in particular, studied HPLC and UV spectrophotometry methods, and performed experimental fragments of master’s theses.

Academic mobility in Lithuania became a vivid example of the integration of the NUPh with the European scientific and educational space, contributed to the development of the professional competencies of the participants and laid a solid foundation for further joint initiatives in the pharmaceutical sector of the healthcare industry. NUPh continues to support the active participation of scientists and students in international programs in order to open up new opportunities for education, science, and professional growth.
