On April 7, 2025, the National University of Pharmacy held a scientific and practical seminar ‘Modern Socio-economic Directions of Preservation of Health and Support of Quality of Life’ for the World Health Day. The event was organized by the Department of Social Pharmacy.
The seminar was opened by Alina VOLKOVA, Head of the Department of Social Pharmacy, Associate Professor, who welcomed all participants and emphasized the relevance of research for the World Health Day, which is due to such huge challenges in the field of health care as the spread of chronic diseases, environmental risks and the impact of stress on the human body. She noted that modern scientific research is aimed at developing effective methods of prevention, the latest treatment technologies and improving the quality of life. Scientists pay special attention to the study of a healthy lifestyle, the impact of nutrition and physical activity, which are key factors in longevity and the well-being of society.

The following speakers delivered reports at the seminar:

Yulia KORZH, Candidate of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Social Pharmacy, and Alina DEMYANOVSKA, a student of the Fm22(4,10d)-05 group, who shared modern aspects of carrying out measures to prevent tuberculosis.

Iryna POPOVA, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Social Pharmacy, Maryna KOVALKO and Yuliia MAYSTROVA, students of the TPKZm21(4,10d)-01 group, who reported on modern problems of pharmaceutical provision for patients with arthritis and cardiovascular diseases.

Oleksandr SEVRYUKOV, Candidate of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Social Pharmacy, and Vadym ZAMASHKO, student of the group FM20(4.10d)-02, who shared contemporary problems of the impact of digitalization on human health.

The reports provoked an active and lively discussion among the seminar participants.
