A master class for students of the National University of Pharmacy from the Laboratory of the Medical Centre of Health
On June 5, 2025, a master class ‘Immunochemical study of IL-6: from preanalytical to postanalytical stage of research’ was held at the Laboratory of the Medical Centre of Health (Kharkiv) as a ZOOM conference.
At the master class, students of the speciality I6 (224) Technologies of medical diagnostics and treatment of the educational program ‘Laboratory diagnostics’ of the National University of Pharmacy mastered the skills of preparing samples for research at the preanalytical stage – centrifugation and aliquoting; setting up internal laboratory controls, performing the study on an automatic immunochemical analyzer.
During the event, the head of the Laboratory of the Medical Centre of Health Lyudmila Tovstokora focused on such issues as assessing the compliance of the study results, issuing results at the post-analytical stage for further interpretation by the doctor, and prescribing corrective treatment measures.
During the master class, the applicants got acquainted with the current direction in laboratory diagnostics – ‘Laboratory Information System (LIS)’.
The master class was attended by more than 50 participants – students, interns, staff of the National University of Pharmacy, specialists of the Laboratory of the Medical Centre of Health.
The master class ended with a discussion on important modern issues in the practice of medical laboratories.
