‘SCIENCE FOR PEACE AND DEVELOPMENT: CONTEMPORARY CHALLENGES’
HAPPY WORLD SCIENCE DAY FOR PEACE AND DEVELOPMENT

On November 8, 2024, the scientific and practical seminar ‘SCIENCE FOR PEACE AND DEVELOPMENT: CONTEMPORARY CHALLENGES’ was held for the World Science Day for Peace and Development. The event was organized by the Student Scientific Society and the Council of Young Scientists of the National University of Pharmacy.

The participants of the seminar were representatives of institutions of higher education and vocational pre-higher education, scientific institutions, students, representatives of practical pharmacy and medicine. The event gathered more than 100 participants.

Professor Inna Vladymyrova, Vice-rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work, gave a welcoming speech and talked about the historical milestones and the purpose of starting the World Science Day for Peace and Development.

At the seminar, 6 reports were presented on relevant and modern topics: NUPh students in the youth movement of Kharkiv; quantum dots in nanomedicine; development and safe storage of three-dimensional structures based on mesenchymal stem cells; the use of artificial intelligence technologies by teachers in the process of research training and teaching to motivate the educational and cognitive activity of students: challenges, threats and prospects; NUPh science: international dimension; specifics of scientific research in the Pharmacy section of the scientific department of chemistry and biology.

Speakers at the event were:

  • Yevgenia KOMISSAROVA, head of the NUPh Student Scientific Society, 3rd year student, educational program Laboratory diagnostics, specialty 224 Technologies of medical diagnostics and treatment;
  • Volodymyr FEDIV, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Biological Physics and Medical Informatics of Bukovyna State Medical University;
  • Natalya TRUFANOVA, Candidate of Biological Sciences, senior researcher of the cryobiochemistry department of the Institute of Problems of Cryobiology and Cryomedicine of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine;
  • Olena HRYBYUK, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering, leading researcher of the Institute of Digitalization of Education of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine;
  • Halyna HRYHORIV, head of the Center for International Career Guidance and External Relations of the National University of Pharmacy;
  • Nataliya BORODINA, doctor of pharmaceutical sciences, associate professor of the Department of Pharmacognosy and Nutrition of the National University of Pharmacy, head of the Pharmacy section of the Kharkiv Regional Small Academy of Sciences of the Kharkiv Regional Council.

    The seminar ended with summing up and words of thanks to the participants for their interesting reports!

    NUPh scientists also participated in the scientific event ‘YOUTH SCIENCE NIGHT-2024 IN THE CONDITIONS OF WAR’, held on November 8, 2024, organized by the Council of Young Scientists of the Ministry of Education and Science.

    More than 30 scientific reports from all regions of Ukraine were presented at the event.

    NUPh was represented by:
  • Nadiya Burda with a report ‘Rational nutrition as the basis of a healthy lifestyle’;
  • Iryna Botsula, Ihor Kireev — ‘New derivatives of 1,2,3-triazolo-1,4-benzodiazepines: study of anxiolytic and analgesic activity’;
  • Polina Palivoda, Svitlana Zuykina — ‘Prospects for the development of granules with a modified API release profile for complex therapy of mastopathy’;
  • Lyubov Bodnar, Natalya Polovko — ‘Self-emulsifying drug delivery systems – a promising method of improving the solubility of sparingly soluble medicinal substances’.

For participating in the 10th scienctific event ”Night of Youth Science-2024 in conditions of war’, NUPh received gratitude from Olesya VASHCHUK, head of the Council of Young Scientists at the MES.
