It has been proven that recently Ukraine is one of the key venues for clinical research by international pharmaceutical companies. This fact has formed the demand for quality logistics and clinical relevance of the study resulted in the assessment of activities and competitiveness of contract research organizations (CRO) in the provision of clinical logistics. The paper proposes the indicators to measure competitiveness of CRO. The method for calculating the complex index of competitiveness of CRO has been developed and a competitive profile of the CRO studied has been drawn. The given method allows evaluating the strengths and weaknesses of CRO, diagnosing the expediency of cooperation with the client. It has been shown that the involvement of the CRO contracting authority to provide logistics services is expdedient if the complex index is more than 0.75.
