13-15 November 2014, International Exhibition “Education and Career – Student Day 2014”

Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, Society “Knowledge” of Ukraine and Kiev Youth Labor Center conducted the 26th International Exhibition “Education and Career –2014” on November 13-15, 2014.

(Kiev, 2 Kreschatik str.).

Greetings to the exhibition were sent by Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Sergii Kvit and President of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine Vasyl Kremen.

 In the opening ceremony participated: Chairperson of the Committee on Science and Education of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Hrynevych Lilia Mykhailivna, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Polianskyi Pavel Broneslavovych, President of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, President of the Society “Knowledge” of Ukraine Kremen Vasil Grygorovych; Board Chairman of the Society “Knowledge” of Ukraine – Kusherets Vasyl Ivanovych; Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic in Ukraine Ivan Pochukh; Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Canada to Ukraine Roman Vashchuk; First Secretary of Israel Embassy in Ukraine Vlad Lerner; Deputy Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Ukraine Dariush Gurchynskyi; Counselor for Culture and Cooperation, Director of the French Institute in Ukraine Eric TOSATI.

 In Ukrainian House were located large-scale exhibition displays, which presented more than 160 participants. Ukraine was represented by more than 80 educational institutions of different levels and forms of ownership from 25 regions, research institutions, methodical centers, international agencies and representative offices, publishing houses.

 In the exhibition participated and presented their exhibits 80 higher education institutions from France, Poland, Austria, USA, Cyprus, Germany, the Czech Republic, Israel, the United Kingdom. Exhibits of France (10 universities) and Poland (27 participants) were presented by big showrooms. In the exhibition also participated: European Commission Representative Office, Israeli Cultural Center of the Embassy of Israel in Ukraine, French Cultural Center and leading Ukrainian agencies.

 Career Guidance work at the NUPh stand was cried out with Kiev pupils and their parents, there were distributed more than 200 information kits.

 For participation in the Exhibition competitions NUPh received the following awards:

  1. Grand Prix and Diploma in the nomination “International cooperation in the field of Education and Science.”
  2. Council of Young Scientists of the NUPh was awarded Gold Medal and Diploma in the nomination “Development of student research work”.
