On September 17, 2024, the British charitable organization UK-MED held a training on providing first aid in case of injury for teachers and students of the educational program Physical Therapy (the bachelor’s level) and Therapy and Rehabilitation (the master’s level) of the National University of Pharmacy.
The training consisted of an interactive theoretical part and practical exercises and was focused on raising awareness and providing theoretical and practical training on issues of personal safety, stopping massive bleeding, managing the airways and breathing, blood circulation, providing assistance in case of hypothermia, as well as the use of improvised means with household items to provide assistance in case of injuries received as a result of explosions, rocket or artillery fire and other traumatic incidents.
The participants highly rated the level of the training, the usefulness of the acquired skills, the practicality and relevance of each proposed exercise.
