University employees continue to master modern European practices in pharmacy.
From July 1 to July 31, 2024, the NUPh employees underwent a scientific internship at the University of Opole (Poland) under the program ‘Supporting the cooperation of the University of Opole with Ukrainian universities within the FORTHEM Alliance 2024’
The head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Technologies Professor Oleksandr Kuhtenko and Associate Professor of the Department Dmytro Soldatov completed a scientific internship at the Department of Pharmacy and Environmental Chemistry of the leading educational institution in Poland, the University of Opole within the framework of the program ‘Supporting the cooperation of the University of Opole with Ukrainian universities within the FORTHEM Alliance 2024’.
The mobility of scientists was planned according to the international program and the invitation of the University of Opole. The scientific internship consisted in mastering theoretical material and carrying out practical work on modern equipment. Our scientists worked with medicinal plant raw materials, natural active pharmaceutical ingredients, and modern auxiliary substances. Together with colleagues from the University of Opole, the choice of the technology for obtaining medicinal forms based on researched plant and natural raw materials for use in pharmaceutical, cosmetology, and veterinary practice was substantiated.
During the research, a lyophilizer, vacuum evaporation apparatus, chromatographic and spectrophotometric systems were used, which will allow in the future to introduce the acquired knowledge both in the educational and scientific process of the NUPh.
Joint work, which was started a year ago, continues. New projects and goals that will allow developers and scientists to succeed are waiting for us ahead.
