As part of the ‘How are you?’ project under the program of Olena Zelenska, on May 27, 2025, a master class on the topic ‘Professional and Emotional Burnout’ was held for students of the Professional College of the National University of PharmacyThe event was held by Lyubov PLYAKA, Candidate of Psychological Sciences, a practical psychologist of the highest category, who shared her knowledge and practical advice on preventing and overcoming professional burnout.

The purpose of the event: to raise awareness about the problem of professional burnout, provide practical tools for its prevention and overcoming, as well as to help maintain emotional stability and personal performance in conditions of increased stress.

In the theoretical part, the participants of the event learned about the differences between professional and emotional burnout, their causes, and the impact of professional burnout on a person’s psychological and physical state.

In the practical part, the participants assessed their state of professional burnout using the J. Greenberg method and the Tree with Little Men exercise. Ms. Plyaka suggested that the teaching staff perform the following exercises: Calendar of Pleasant Experiences, Who and What Supports and Inspires Me, My Portrait in the Sun’s Rays, Trash Can, etc.

The event was held in the format of an interactive conversation, during which the participants not only received theoretical knowledge but also had the opportunity to perform practical exercises to reduce stress levels and improve their emotional state.

The participants of the event received the necessary knowledge and skills and were satisfied with the consideration of this topic.
