International scientific and practical conference ‘EXPERIMENTAL AND CLINICAL PHARMACOLOGY’
On October 23-23, 2024, the International Scientific and Practical Conference ‘Experimental and Clinical Pharmacology’ dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the NUPh Department of Pharmacology was held online. The conference was registered by the Ukrainian Institute of Scientific and Technical Expertise and Information (certificate No. 611 dated December 11, 2023).
At the Conference, the research of more than 150 scientists from the National University of Pharmacy and the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, institutions of higher education, research institutions and health care institutions of all regions of Ukraine, as well as Poland, Estonia, and the United States, were presented. It is a marker of the authority of Ukrainian pharmacological science in the world. The conference materials include about 100 papers representing 13 areas: neuropharmacology; pharmacology of pain, inflammation, musculoskeletal system; pharmacology of visceral systems; pharmacology of the endocrine system and metabolism; pharmacology of the blood system, immuno- and oncopharmacology; pharmacology of antimicrobial agents; pharmacology of extreme conditions; modern aspects of creating medicines, biopharmacy; medicinal toxicology; pharmacological aspects of patient rehabilitation; clinical pharmacology and clinical pharmacy; market analysis, pharmacoepidemiological, pharmacoeconomic and pharmacovigilance aspects of the use of medicinal products; teaching pharmacology, clinical pharmacology, clinical pharmacy and other clinically oriented educational components.
The conference participants were introduced to the 100-year history of the department of Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacy by the head of the department, doctor of medical sciences, professor Serhii SHTRYGOL. The head of the department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry , doctor of pharmaceutical sciences, professor Victoriya GEORGIYANTS spoke about the long-term creative cooperation with the department of pharmacology.
Within the framework of the conference, the seminar ‘Current issues of preclinical research, clinical pharmacology and clinical pharmacy’ was held in two parts (volume of 15 hours or 0.5 credit), at which 28 reports were presented.
A feature of the Conference was the participation of authoritative scientists, students, postgraduates and practicing doctors. About 100 people attended the meeting over two days.
The Conference aroused the great interest of pharmacologists, clinicians, educators, and students. Its participants unanimously adopted a resolution in which it was noted that the Conference ‘Experimental and Clinical Pharmacology’ became a notable milestone in the scientific and educational space.
