Аutobiography

Zupanets Kateryna Oleksandrivna was born on December 14, 1982 in the city Uzhur-4 of Krasnoyarsk region, the Russian Federation in the family of employees. In 2000 she graduated from the Kharkiv Academic Gymnasium №45 with distinction. In 2000 she entered the National University of Pharmacy. In 2006 she graduated from Pharmacy Faculty, Clinical Pharmacy specialty of the National University of Pharmacy with distinction. In the same year she entered the Master’s Degree in “Clinical Pharmacy”, which she graduated in 2007(with distinction).

From 2003 till 2015 he worked as a senior laboratory assistant, assistant professor and associate professor at the Department of Clinical Pharmacology with Pharmaceutical Care (now the Department of Clinical Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacy) at the National University of Pharmacy. In the period of 2005-2006 she used to work as a pharmacist-intern in LLC «Pharmacy №1». In 2011 he graduated from Kharkiv National University named after V.N. Karazin and received Master’s degree in “English Language and Literature”. In 2011 he defended her PhD thesis on the topic “Experimental substantiation of combined application of derivatives of glucosamine with quercetin in different variants of osteoarthritis” (scientific supervisor – Professor S.B. Popov).

In 2015, she was awarded the title of Associate Professor of the Department of Clinical Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacy. From 2015 she worked as an Associate Professor of the Department of Clinical Pharmacology at the Institute of Pharmacy Professionals Qualification Improvement at the National University of Pharmacy. This year she entered the doctoral program, which in 2017 was prematurely completed by the defense of her doctoral dissertation on the topic “Theoretical, scientific and practical foundations of clinical trial management at the place of study” (scientific consultant – Professor V. E. Dobrova).

Since 2017 she has been working as an associate professor at the Department of Clinical Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacy at the National University of Pharmacy. Along with teaching and scientific work Zupanets K.O. is actively involved in clinical trials of new drugs, which are carried out on the basis of the Clinical and Diagnostics Center of the National University of Pharmacy.

Overall, Zupanets K.O. participated as a Co-Investigator in more than 25 clinical trials of new drugs of Ukrainian and foreign manufacturing. In addition, according to the results of her research, a new combination of the drug was developed, scientifically studied and registered by the manufacturer of JSC “Borschagovsky CPP” (Ukraine), under the name “Glukvamin”.

Zupanets K.O. participated as a member of the working group in the development and implementation of a quality management system at the Clinical and Diagnostics Center of the National University of Pharmacy, which received the certificate of ISO 9001: 2009.

Public activity: Zupanets K.O. is a member of the editorial board of the journal “Management, Economics and Quality Assurance in Pharmacy”.

Membership in professional associations:

For many years Zupanets K.O. is a member of the All-Ukrainian public organization “Association of Pharmacologists of Ukraine”. In addition, Zupanets K.O. has repeatedly reported as a key speaker at international conferences and congresses on bioavailability and bioequivalence of new drugs (7th World Congress on Bioavailability & Bioequivalence: BA/BE Studies Summit (Atlanta, USA, 2016), International conference on Pharmaceutical Drugs (Dubai, UAE, 2017)).

Scientific school: Under the leadership of Zupanets K.O. 1 dissertation work and 2 master’s thesis are carried out.

Disciplines taught by the doctor of sciences.

According to the pedagogical load Zupanets K.O. teaches such disciplines as “Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Care”, “Pharmaceutical Care” for students of full-time and part-time of education as well as foreign citizens of the specialty “Pharmacy”, “Clinical Pharmacy”, “Technology of perfumery and cosmetics”.

Zupanets K.O. gives lectures and conducts the classes both in Ukrainian and English for the disciplines “Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Care”, “Pharmaceutical care”, “Clinical trials of drugs”. She also takes part in the development of methodological support, including multimedia, for the following disciplines: Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Care, Pharmaceutical Care.
