National University of Pharmacy in cooperation with the Council of Young Scientists of the NUPh, which now includes more than 225 young scientists and student, and the Students Scientific Society of the NUPh, which includes about 800 members, conducted International scientific and practical conference of young scientists and students “CURRENT ISSUES OF CREATION OF NEW DRUGS” on April 23, 2015.
The conference was devoted to familiarization with the developments of outstanding scientists and their discussion, issues of the opportunities for sharing experiences, scientific plans and ideas. At the forum, the participants were presented the results of work of young scientists, students, doctors. The conference was held in English.
Among the priority areas of the conference were: synthesis of biologically active compounds and creation of medicinal substances on their basis; standardization of medicines, pharmaceutical and chemical-technological analysis; study of vegetable raw materials and creation of herbal medicinal products; modern technology of drugs and extemporaneous compounding; biotechnology in pharmacy; preclinical studies of new drugs; pharmaceutical care of prescription and non-prescription medicines; evidence-based medicine; organization and economics of pharmacy, marketing management and pharmacoeconomics at the stages of creation, implementation and use of medicines; quality management in the sphere of development, production and circularization of medicines; pharmaceutical law, forensic and evidence-based pharmacy; fundamentals of pedagogy and psychology; philology.
Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Rector of the National University of Pharmacy Valentyn Petrovych Chernykh gave a master class lecture “Placebo – the right to life” in the framework of the event.
12 reports were presented at the plenary session of the conference. 550 young scientists and students participated in the breakout sessions.
Among the participants of the Youth Forum, there were representatives of the higher educational institutions of Ukraine and CIS countries, namely:

- Kazakh National Medical University named after S.D. Asfendiyarov (Almaty, Kazakhstan).
Citizens of Latvia, Morocco, Libya, Iran, Lithuania, Tunisia, etc. were represented among the member countries.
