On March 20-24, 2023, representatives of the National University of Pharmacy took part in a research trip to the Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) as part of the Erasmus+ program

From March 20 to 24, 2023, the Head of the Pharmaceutical Chemistry Department, Professor Viktoriya Georgiants and Associate Professor of the Pharmaceutical Chemistry Department, Dr. Olha Mykhailenko took part in the Erasmus+ staff mobility for training within the framework of the cooperation agreement between the National University of Pharmacy and Vytautas Magnus University (VMU).

Prof. V. Georgiants and Assoc. Prof. O. Mykhailenko took part in the educational and scientific process at the Department of Biochemistry, Faculty of Natural Sciences of Vytautas Magnus University.

The following types of work were carried out during the business trip:

  • Discussion of new possible elective courses for teaching at both universities, participation in bilateral and international scientific projects.
  • Lectures and seminars for students and employees of the university: “Scientific direction and Cooperation proposal”, “Docking studies for pharmaceutical science”, “Analytical method validation for pharmacy”, “Pharmacy education in Ukraine”, “Cultivated medicinal plants in Ukraine: achievements and prospects”.
  • Visiting research laboratories and a botanical garden, discussing the possibility of bilateral diplomas.
  • Conducting experimental research on the basis of the Department of Biochemistry, Faculty of Natural Sciences of Vytautas Magnus University under the leadership of the head of the Department of Biochemistry, Prof. Vida Mildažienė.
  • Discussion of vectors of further cooperation in the field of education and science with the universities of the Republic of Lithuania and Ukraine.

According to the results of the business trip, it is planned to prepare and publish an article based on the results of experimental research, academic mobility was organized for the performance of experimental research by the 4th-year student of OP “Pharmacy” Viktoria Hurina, consultations on participation in international research projects were planned.
