SCIENTIFIC COOPERATION: FROM SCHOOL TO UNIVERISTY

On November 24, NUPh signed an agreement with the Kharkiv Regional Small Academy of Sciences.

The NUPh staff and teachers and pupils of secondary education institutions of the Kharkiv region have positive experience of many years of cooperation in the scientific field. Now, this activity is officially declared in the contract signed by acting rector of NUPh Alla KOTVITSKA and Viktoriya LUNINA, director of the Kharkiv Regional Small Academy of Sciences.

Anatoliy Shchegolev and representatives of the teaching staff were also invited to the meeting. Those who are currently working with schoolchildren and preparing scientific works were invited, as well as those who have ideas and suggestions for the further development of this cooperation.

Alla KOTVITSKA told the guests about the University and its powerful scientific activity, which does not stop despite all the external challenges of recent years. She noted that gifted youth and schoolchildren are the golden fund with which NUPh is ready to work and involve them in the magical world of pharmacy, as it was, for example, during the ‘Metroschool’ project.

Kharkiv Regional Small Academy of Sciences is located next to NUPh and has been working in Kharkiv region since 1995. Viktoriya LUNINA noted that this system includes not only the competition of scientific projects but also many other creativity Olympiads, which become a springboard for schoolchildren to participate in international competitions.

Nowadays Kharkiv Regional Small Academy of Sciences consists of 72 sections in 12 scientific departments and Kharkiv region traditionally occupies the first places, receiving a large number of prizes. This becomes possible due to the powerful support of higher education institutions, including NUPh.

Thus, Professor Olga FILIPTSOVA has been working with in this area for more than 20 years and is convinced that:

  • The efficiency of this work reaches 500%!
  • It brings valuable experience and unforgettable emotions;
  • The significant studies bring the results that are published in the world’s best scientific journals.

During the meeting, vectors of cooperation between NUPh and the Kharkiv Regional Small Academy Sciences were discussed. In addition to direct guidance of pupils, it is also work in scientific projects and participation in competitions as a member of the jury. In addition, heads of the organizations agreed on the creation of a new section ‘Pharmacy’.

The heads of departments of the university Oleksandr KUKHTENKO, Hanna PANFILOVA and Nadiya KONONENKO, who were present, offered a wide list of options for opening new sections and scientific areas.

Therefore, educational and pharmaceutical Kharkiv lives and holds the educational front. From now on, even more schoolchildren from the Kharkiv region will be able to discover and fall in love with pharmacy at the National University of Pharmacy!
