Science of NUPh without borders: a scientific and practical seminar for the World Science Day for Peace and Development

On November 10, the academic community of NUPh met online at a seminar for the World Science Day for Peace and Development, organized by the Council of Young Scientists and the Student Scientific Society under the coordination of the vice-rector for scientific and pedagogical work, professor Inna Vladymyrova.

More than 200 participants took part in the event. These were representatives of educational and scientific institutions, students and representatives of practical pharmacy. The seminar began with the greetings of professor Inna Vladymyrova to the participants and guests.

The festive video greeting was prepared by the head of SSS Olena MALA and members Maria YAREMENKO, Maria LYTVYNOVA, Anastasia RYZHUK and Maria PETRENKO.

Then, the participants had fruitful hours, during which they learned about:

  • the way toward open science and the creation of a virtuous educational and scientific environment from Artem ARTYUKHOV, member of NAZYAVO, International Engineer Pedagogue (ING. PAED. IGIP), associate professor of the Department of Marketing of Sumy State University;
  • the development of the scientific diaspora of higher education institutions of Ukraine in different parts of the world by Vitaly LOZOVYI, chief researcher of the Department of Social Processes of the Center for Domestic Policy Studies of the National Institute of Strategic Studies, doctor of science, professor;
  • opening of the first HORIZONT Europe office in Ukraine by Ihor TARANOV, head of the Horizont Europe Office in Ukraine, department of the National Research Fund of Ukraine;
  • state-of-the-art cell cultivation technologies and their use in pharmacology from Halyna BOZHOK, leading researcher of the cryoendocrinology department of the Institute of Problems of Cryobiology and Cryomedicine of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Associate Professor;
  • innovative scientific development Glyutsynkovit – frigoprotector for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine by Serhii SHTRYGOL, head of the department of pharmacology and pharmacotherapy, doctor of medicine, professor;
  • the possibilities of biotechnology in increasing the resistance of plants to diseases from Anastasia BUZIASHVILI, a researcher at the Department of Cell Biology and Biotechnology of the State University Institute of Food Biotechnology and Genomics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Candidate of Science in Biology.

In addition, the supervisors of the educational programs Inna VLADYMYROVA (Pharmacy PhD), Viktoriya GEORGIYANTS (Pharmacy), Oleksandr KUKHTENKO (Pharmaceutical Preparation Technologies), Nataliya KHOHLENKOVA (Industrial Biotechnology), Nadiya KONONENKO (Therapy and Rehabilitation), Olena DOLZHIKOVA (Laboratory Diagnostics), Oleksandra KRAN (Technologies of Perfumery and Cosmetic Products), Ihor KIREEV (Clinical Pharmacy) , Olga POSYLKINA (Management of Health Care and Pharmaceutical Business) vividly spoke about the international dimension of the educational and scientific activity of NUPh, which has no borders and is developing rapidly and effectively..

Postgraduate students Iryna BOTSULA (University of Tartu, Estonia) and Yulia GONCHAROVA (University of Bern, Swiss Confederation), associate professor of the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry Lydia PETRUSHOVA (University of Palermo, Italy) and Olga LITVINOVA (Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Digital Medicine and Patient Safety, Vienna, Austria) shared vivid impressions of studying, internships and conducting scientific research abroad.
