On October 17-21, 2022, representatives of the National University of Pharmacy took part in a business trip to the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences (LSMU) as part of the Erasmus+ program

From October 17 to 21, 2022, the head of the Pharmaceutical Chemistry Department, Professor Viktoriya Georgiants and Associate Professor of the Pharmaceutical Chemistry Department, Dr. Olha Mykhailenko participated in the academic mobility of teachers within the framework of the Erasmus+ program within the framework of the cooperation agreement between the National University of Pharmacy and the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences.

Prof. V. Georgiants and Assoc. Prof. O. Mykhailenko took part in the educational and scientific process at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences.

The following types of work were carried out during the business trip:

  • Discussion of new possible elective courses for teaching at both universities, participation in bilateral and international scientific projects.
  • Lectures and seminars for students and employees of the university: “Compounding in Ukraine. Development of pharmacopoeial monographs”, “World Pharmacopoeial requirements harmonization”, “Docking studies for pharmaceutical science”, “Analytical method validation for pharmacy”, “Pharmacy education in Ukraine”, “Second metabolites in the plant-environmental interaction”, “Principles of good agricultural and collection practice (GACP) for the cultivation of medicinal and aromatic plants for the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, food industries”
  • Visiting industrial and hospital pharmacies, discussing issues of the possibility of industrial practice for students of NUPh.
  • Conducting experimental research on the basis of the Department of Analytical and Toxicological Chemistry (Head Prof. Liudas Ivanauskas)
  • Discussion of vectors of further cooperation in the field of education and science with the universities of the Republic of Lithuania and Ukraine.

Based on the results of the business trip, it is planned to exchange lectures in an online format in the disciplines “Pharmaceutical Chemistry”, “Pharmaceutical Bromatology”, preparation and publication of an article based on the results of experimental research.

The business trip took place under the Erasmus+ international mobility program in accordance with the agreement between the National Institute of Medical Sciences and the Lithuanian University of Medical Sciences. All expenses related to the trip are reimbursed by the grant of the Erasmus+ program.
