The hypolipidemic activity of some derivatives of 3-methylxanthines has been studied. A number of compounds that change the levels of cholesterol, triacylglycerols and β-lipoproteids in the rat blood serum has been revealed in the experimental hyperlipidemy from groups 8-N-alkylamine derivatives of 3-methyl-7-β-hydroxy-γ-п-chlorophenoxypropylxantines, 8-N-oxyalkyl- and 8-N-alkoxy-alkylamine derivatives of 3-methyl-7-β-hydroxy γ-п-chlorphenoxypropylxantynyl-8)-aminocarbon acids. Some regularities between the structure of derivatives and the pharmacological effect intensity have been determined. Its should be noted that substances IX and XI reveal the complex hypolipidemic activity, and it requires their further study in relation to the antisclerotic activity (due to specific types of toxicity and the biological activity – antioxidant, anti-agregative, anti-inflammaratory, diuretic and other activities).
