UDC 615.31:547.03 THE NO-MIMETIC ACTION OF A NEW ANTIANGINAL MEDICINE MT IN EXPERIMENTAL MYOCARDIAL INFARCTION I.F.Belenichev, I.A.Mazur, L.I.Kucherenko, Yu.A.Volchyk, A.V.Abramov, N.V.Bukhtiyarova, N.V.Parnyuk

In the course of investigation the NO-depended mechanisms of MT cardioprotective effect in myocardial infarction have been studied. It has been found that MT intraperitoneal introduction (the product of Scientific Production Association «Pharmatron», Ltd.) in the dose of 2.5 mg/kg simultaneously with formation of the experimental acute myocardial infarction results in increase of NO production in cytosol and mitochondria of the ischemic myocardium because of increase of expression and activity of endothelial NO-synthase. Introduction of MT contributes to increase of bioavailability of this molecular messenger intensifying the protective action of renewed thiols. The application of MT limits manifestations of the nitrosation stress in the ischemic myocardium significantly. The administration of MT exceeds reliably the reference medicine metoprolol in the therapeutic effect.

Key words: MT, NO-mimetics, experimental acute myocardial infarction, metoprolol
